Ask the Podcast

Postby SteveW » Thu Mar 05, 2015 6:37 pm

Tonight marks the very first recording of '48 Shades of Football' and assuming the 3 of us can stop bickering long enough to get to a second episode we hope to be answering some fan mail or questions from listeners (especially when we can't think of any content on our own)

That being the case, this thread is going to be the 'ongoing suggestions or questions for the podcast thread'. Bearing in mind the team behind it, make sure the questions don't require any research or knowledge to answer - things like 'which K-League player looks most like a potato?' or 'which K-Pop starlet would look best in a Kim Yong Dae goalkeeper top?' are more the kind of thing we need. Feel free to ask serious questions as well, but you will get silly answers anyway.

I think the plan is to record regularly on a Monday night so get your suggestions in over the weekend if you want to see us include it.

I think next week's special feature should be 'How does the Incheon mascot feel about Daejeon being back in the league and is he getting extra padding in his outfit for the fixture?'

Has promotion/relegation in the K-League been a success?

Who looks better in a Lee Won-jae goalkeeper top, APink or Sistar?
Bring back King Cha.

to crowd related questions:

last year on opening weekend daegu had 40,000, chunnam sold out their stadium as well as gyeongnam (nearly), yet this year, attendance was at 13k average, with even suwon not having a big opening. so
1. are the dancing girls or park ju young more of a crowd pleasers in 2015?
2. Suwon's 2nd floor covering anything special?
3. busan going to be able to keep a crowd or is a move in their near future?
well well well

Question from Facebook in case I lose it:

Does Seoul need another club in the city? Local rivals are an essential part of following football. However, FC Seoul struggle for fans as it is. I can't see Seoul E-Land generating a large fan base, especially with that awful cheetah/leopard print kit! What are your thoughts?

You briefly touched on it in episode 5 I know, but how can the J league, Chinese Super League and other South East Asian leagues pull in the crowds but Korea can't?

Has this been answered in the Podcast? I'm trying to catch up but haven't gotten that far yet.

Spotted on the BBC World Football Phone FB page.
A new World Football Podcast! https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/wor ... 1027040125 Please subscribe for free!

After years and years of running world football websites with varying success, I've started The World Football Index. With a bit of help from like-minded souls from around the world, we've put together a website and a podcast which will provide fans with information on football from all corners of the globe.

Today our podcast was accepted by the iTunes store, and you can subscribe using the link. You can also find more information, and listen in different formats by visiting the podcast page of the website. http://worldfootballindex.com/podcast/

We have experts lined up from around the world for the next few shows, but we are also looking for people with knowledge of North African, or Japanese football.

If anyone thinks they can bring something to the shows, or the site, they're welcome to get in touch with me on here.

Cheers.
James

Hosted by Dave Caren, the show draws on the knowledge of experts based in all parts of the world. North and South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia; WFI has it covered.

Apparently they will have Tim Vickery at some stage.

Though someone from 48 Shades could contribute and at the same time promote their own podcast :)
