International volleyball in Hwaseong this weekend

Postby sjc_three » Mon May 27, 2013 3:26 pm

Hello folks, asking on behalf of a friend here who is wanting to go and watch Korea v Japan in the volleyball this Sunday. It's at the same place as that brand new stadium in Hwaseong. I seem to remember a previous post on the board saying it was in the arse end of nowhere. They would be coming from Seoul, but heading back to Busan afterwards - is that doable with public transport? Thanks as always.

It is doable but it is a pain in the arse. The way I've been is by bus to and from Suwon train station. It takes the best part of an hour from there. It's bus numbers 32 and 33.

From Seoul, Bus 8155 runs from Sadang Station according to Naver. That looks the best bet coming from Seoul.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. And presumably him getting back to Busan will be a nightmare?

Depends I guess. There is the KTX from Suwon to Busan at 5.08pm and 7.32pm on Saturdays.
