Well, Brian Ching is always referred to as a Hawaiian.

Wonder why? It's not like it's Brian A'hakoalua'a'apua. That's a joke, just in case I offended a native Hawaiian. :)

I just visited the MLS website, and looked at the player roster. Just looking for the telltale Asian last names of Ch-- or Kim, Lee, Li, Le, etc. Guess what? There is a guy named Chinchilla. Yeah, like the furry rodent.

I noticed that Nakamura is spelled Nagamura. Actually, Nagamure could be a negit Japanese last name. It means "long village" instead of "inside a village" that Nakamura means.

And...there is a Korean American player, Alex Yi.

I heard that name, Alex Yi at the youth level. He's represented the USA at some youth level but I'm not sure which.

If you had read the link, you'd would have seen that:

"A veteran of the U-23 and U-20 U.S. National Teams, he has six career caps with the U-23 team and 12 career caps with the U-20 team…In 2001 with the U-20 team, he played in all three matches during the FIFA World Youth Championships held in Argentina…Also started five matches for the U-17 National Team at the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championships, where the U.S. finished a national-best fourth"
