Anyone here ever heard of the Afro-Asian Club Championship? I did a search of this site (via Google, not the useless search bar) and didn't see any entries.
It ran from 1986 through 1998, between the African and Asian club champions.
(Busan) Daewoo Royals won the inaugural 1986 competition (played in early 1987) by defeating AS-FAR (Morocco's military club) in a single-leg match held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Seongnam (back when they were still Cheon'an) won it in 1996, while Pohang finished as runners-up during the final years of the tournament (1997 and 1998).
I had a very brief note about this in my existing book research notes, but there now seems to be more more about it on the internet, including Wikipedia.
Everything else football-wise.

I'd heard of it before but don't know all that much about it. (Probably all from Wikipedia whenever the last time is I checked that page.)
In Yangju, if your cabbage doesn't understand you and you have valid reason for not eating it, then it is ok to go to other vegetables for your kimchi - though strictly nothing from south of Namyangju. -- Martyrs Forever
