Okay, a former K-Leaguer, but Mota came on as a substitute for Sporting Lisbon in their UEFA Cup tie against Newcastle in midweek.

From the K-League to the UEFA Cup semis in five quick months... that was a cracking result against Newcastle for Sporting.

Rumour has it that last season's top scorer may be coming back to Korea to join Seongnam on loan from Sporting Lisbon.

Seongnam have confirmed the transfer, and it looks as if he'll be featuring for them in the Peace Cup along with their new Brazilian import Fabrizio (previously of Portuguesa in Brazil) who scored against Incheon at the weekend.

I guess Feijao's on his way back to Daegu then.

Seongnam beefs up attack line with Brazilian striker Mota

SEOUL, July 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korean domestic K-league club Seongnam Ilhwa strengthened their attack line by signing Brazilian striker Mota, officials of the club said Tuesday.

Mota left K-league team Chunnam after the end of last season and joined one of the world's top clubs, Sporting Lisbon of the Portuguese Superliga.

The 24-year-old Brazilian clinched the title of top scorer in the K-league last season with 14 goals in 29 games, but failed to score in his five appearances in Superliga matches.

Seongnam and Mota declined to give details of the contract.

Seongnam ranked sixth among the 13 teams in the first stage of the K-league.

Ten years on and Mota's rejoining Seongnam it would seem...

You've got to love his objective Wikipedia page...

Mota is considered the best striker in K-League. He is nicknamed "Motasin" (in Korean "Mota the god") by his fans.

If you're going to edit that, you might as well try to figure out what this is trying to say too;

On 28 December 2009, Mota came back to South Korea and joined Pohang Steelers.[1] After spending a two-year at Pohang, he returned to Brazil for his family, whereas Pohang coaches and many fans persuaded him to stay.

It sounds like he left against his will after being persuaded to stay. :albino:
