Watching Son Heung-min has been exciting as hell as he's been developing at a blistering pace. His acceleration and ability to use both feet has been tremendous.
It's also nice that he'll play in the CL. It's been sort of stale (continentally) for us Koreans ever since Park Ji-sung left ManU.
Son Heung-Min (Tottenham Hotspur F.C./England)

Scored a goal against Dortmund.

He really is the future superstar of Korean football... if he holds it all together he can be on the same level of fame as Parky.... can see him being linked to a big club very soon

Leverkusen are a pretty big club and they just spent 10 million euros on him. He allegedly chose them over Man Utd in the summer. If he remains happy I think he stays a while.
Re: Son Heung-Min (Bayer 04 Leverkusen/1. Bundesliga/Germany
He made a good choice by rejecting Man Utd given their current status. Also, I believe his contract runs till 2017. If he does stay until he ends his contract, he might give King Cha's goal record a run for it's money. (He is Leverkusen's top 6th scorer all time with 52 goals.)

I think there's a danger of giving him too much credit. He's one of the better players in one of the better clubs in one of the better leagues in the world. There are many other players for which this is also true. I felt this at the World Cup that there was some expectation that because Son was playing for Korea he was going to do magical things, when in reality, at that level, he's up against players of similar if not better quality. If I was picking teams, I'd still take Karim Bellarabi or Hakan Çalhanoğlu or Kevin De Bruyne first, or if I'm honest, even Shinji Okazaki, not to mention the likes of Robben, Götze, Suarez...

Apparently absent for Leverkusen this evening as he's in London to have a medical before an £18m move to Tottenham. Expected to be concluded over the next couple of days if all is well. Hardly expecting him to waltz into the starting line-up of someone like Man City, Chelsea or Arsenal, but is swapping Leverkusen for Tottenham a worthwhile move or is the Premiership the main attraction here?

I think its a solid move...Spurs only have one decent striker at the moment in Kane so minimal competition and a good test of his abilities. I am pressuming he would be first eleven with Kane-Son playing together as it seems too much for a club like Spurs to spend on a reserve player.

I was pretty much sure that at one point of his career he would be in EPL.
And his move to Spurs makes lot of sense. Decent team, good city to leave and attracts good Korean viewers from Tv. Sbs sports will benefit from it.
But he has still his military service pending...

I agree with all of that, and having lived for a year near London I especially agree with the bit in bold!

Bring back King Cha.

Great for Korean fans to see him in the EPL, but I am not convinced about the move.
Spurs number one priority is to sign a striker, not a wide player. Harry Kane is basically on his own with no back-up.
Son will hopefully do better than Lamela who has been awful really, but Spurs have been trying to get Berahino from WBA but have been knocked back more than once. Don't know why they don't go for Charlie Austin at QPR.
I hope he does well, but Spurs really need to spend their precious money on a decent striker.
