Watch a football match in North Korea

Postby daeguowl » Wed Aug 12, 2015 1:37 pm

An acquaintance of mine has approached me with an interesting opportunity to go and watch some football in North Korea. Am waiting for a proper flier but based on what he told me it would a standard tour of North Korea with a football spin to take in North Korea's October wcq with Yemen and the Philippines. The cost would be about be about USD2.2k all-inclusive departing from Beijing.

That's way too much for me. Just flying to Beijing would add another ~USD1k. Still, I imagine there's enough people who would happily stump up that kind of amount. Is that the kind of money they charge these cricket and football teams that go on tours there?

Switzerland and North Korea - the two countries that are too expensive for me to go and watch football :(
