9.Edú - Brazil - Liaoning Whowin - 2m € / 2.62m USD

I read on a Korean forum that former Suwon forward Edu had joined Liaoning, I guess this confirms it? Wikipedia says he's signed today on a permanent deal so it must be true.

I expect Guangzhou Evergrande to win this oncemore. Their squad is pretty amazing right now compared to the rest.

Thanks Greenlion, very interesting table.
If we have someone on board who follows China it would be good to get updates on how some of these guys are playing.

I can tell you guys right now, Lucas Barrios and Elkeson are tearing it up. Elkeson set new CSL record for most goals in consecutive debut games. 2 and 3 in both games.

Elkeson now has 10 league goals in 5 league matches... he is tearing it up for Guangzhou Evergrande. The club is currently China's best hopes for an ACL title and rumored to be one of the favorites alongside the few. They won back-to-back titles and are under the management of World Cup 2006-winning coach Marcello Lippi.

Spent the last week in Shanghai, Sunday - Saturday.

3 bloody teams in the city and not one home match during that time!

Seems like silly planning if you ask me.

Indeed. Thing about the CSL now is that slowly... some teams slowly building up to take on K-league teams.. I can forsee FC Seoul v Guangzhou Evergrande if the other teams don't get knocked out first.

If it's a work trip I find they like to check the schedule before sending me out just to make absolutely sure there's nothing to distract me from what I'm supposed to be doing.

Usually I plan my work trips around some footy... unfortunately sometimes it doesn't work.

Seriously though......18m people and you don't have a single game on a weekend???
