That Jeonbuk group is insane...you could have got some very good odds on Jeonbuk topping the group after their 2 maulings a few weeks ago.

Asamoah with a cracking shot outside the box for Pohang to kill the game with Osaka...2 up with 10 minutes to go. To be fair Pohang have really been dominant in the second half (didnt see the first) and were very unluck not to have 2 already with one shot hitting the crossbar and bouncing on the line twice.

Ulsan seem already to be cruising against beijing...2 up just before half time.

That Tokyo and Brisbane game does seem to be the game of the night though...4-2 up for Toky0, 5 goals in the first half.

Adelaide did the Steelers a minor favour by drawing with Bunyodkur, meaning Pohang only need to avoid defeat in Uzbekistan to go through. Last time they played in Tashkent, with a Pohang team quite a bit better than the current crop, they lost 3-1. Apart from Pohang the Korean sides look in good shape for the next round, but still some work to do.

What a disappointing season so far for Gamba Osaka :\

They are out of ACL as I predicted...

I would only buy a K-League kit if it had Anyang written on it.

Look, you can burn the Seongnam kit in a special cerimony moments before you buy that new Anyang kit you want.

Be reasonable, rather than stubborn like a pissed off 5 year old.

This game will feel a lot like a home game for Seongnam as Tianjin will have to play it behind closed doors because of crowd trouble at their home game against Nagoya last month :)

Really? Well that helps Seongnam. Also the fact Tianjin are already eliminated from the next round makes winning easier for Seongnam I'd suspect.

Also, for some odd reason Tancheon had a rather large crowd Tuesday night. Must be due to the holiday and some anti-Japan feelings.

Going to a game in Yatap does not make me a supporter of Seongnam- I went to support the A-league team there.. I don't live in Bundang or work there, I work in Anyang & I used to live there. I cheer whoever beats Seoul, and hopefully soon there will be a new Anyang professional team. I have played on & off for the Sunday league Anyang FC team since 2003. I don't buy football jerseys on a whim, nor support teams because there is a team somewhere. That's BS.

I was the angry man with no hair, playing up front. Got threatened with a red card whilst warming the bench. not my finest hour.

I never thought Jeonbuk would top the group after their first two games.

Jeonbuk coming back after a back-to-back 5-1 loss. Am i dreaming, guys? Since Gamba Osaka is sadly out... I'll be rooting for Guangzhou Evergrande... then Jeonbuk... if they are out.. then Pohang... then any other Korean team left.

Jeonbuk AFC 5/15

Postby Alex43 » Sun May 13, 2012 1:07 pm

Anyone coming to the game?

After Jeonbuk went lost their first two games, with a differential of -8, 3 straight wins have brought them to the top. A single point would put them through.

HOWEVER!!!! with all the momentum, things could be tragic for last year's AFC finalist.... Captain ChoSeongHwan will miss the game after getting booked twice in China last match. Lim Youhwan had a ankle injury benching him for the next few weeks. Shim WooYeon has only played 3 minutes since Jeonbuk's first AFC match where he left the game after a rib injury.

Jeonbuk has had shady defense all season, mainly impart to not having a consistent starters. Without Cho SeongHwan, Jeonbuk had to rally back to a 3-3 tie against Incheon...

As a Jeonbuk fan, I am sincerely scared....
well well well
