Didier Drogba signs for Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua

Another reason to support Shanghai Shenhua if they play AFC Champions League next year.

Guizhou Renhe's Jie Chen's goal against Shanghai was abolsutely a screamer. Good goal and then Guizhou Renhe's Zlatan catching the goalkeeper of his life for a 3/4th shot out of goal... blast.

Guangzhou Evergrande are 2012 CSL Champions. League-winning goal scored by Gao Lin assisted by Dario Conca. Could not have asked for a better ending. My favorite Chinese player is Gao Lin. Good job on defending the title.

Sad news: China's most decorated club, Dalian Shide (formerly Dalian Wanda), are likely to disappear. Their sugar-daddy owner, politician Xu Ming, has been implicated in the Bo Xilai political scandal, and the club have been sold to Dalian rivals Dalian Aerbin for a reported 320 million RMB (39.5m Euro) according to Sina Sports. Shide are likely to be merged into Aerbin, and effectively disappear (much like the Yohohama Marinos and Yokohama Flugels forced merger early in J.League history).

I remember when Yasuhito Endo played for Flugels. Well, at least I saw clips of it. But all I've ever see him play is for Gamba. he is a legend for that club.

Anyway, sad day for Shide. What a team. Wonder what will happen to Keita in Aerbin?
