To be held on a Friday night at 8:00pm in Cheon'an.
Bit of a weak opponent prior to a crucial World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan, no?

Quite a clever ploy by the under pressure Uli Stielike, if he can get Korea to beat Canada then he can point out to his KFA overlords that he has managed to achieve something Guus Hiddink couldn't do...
The KFA had tried and tried to attract a reasonably decent international side to provide friendly opposition on this date but had struggled to do so and the provisional plan was for Jeonbuk Hyundai Matchfixers to provide the opposition instead. Don't really see the benefit in them playing out a prearranged 2-1 match with them so it makes sense to have a proper game, even if it is against a diddy nation.

Surely the bigger question is why are Canada flying half way round the world for a friendly match? Are they playing other matches in Asia?

Come on... Cheonan is the public transport depot of Korea. I'm sure if you sit on any bus or train long enough it will take you to Cheonan. And a wealthy man like yourself can afford a taxi from the station to the ground.

'Tis more about getting back to the KTX after the match...

Subway runs OK to get you back into Seoul. Pretty sure that's what I did when I went to see whoever it was there. Mali?

Korea's squad and Canada's squad both announced.
Canada will not call up most of their players based in Europe or with MLS clubs competing in playoffs.
We gon' get humped.
