Tax dodging at the KFA

Postby Holyjoe » Fri Dec 20, 2013 8:59 am

Reading this article it would appear that the KFA have been rumbled for tax evasion - according to the article the is a non-profit organisation that became incorporated in 2005. Because of that status they're only required to be audited for tax purposes every 3-5 years. Their first tax audit by the Seoul Regional Tax Office was in 2009 and everything appeared to be in order, their second ran from May 27 to June 20 this year and seemingly they found out that the KFA 'forgot' to pay tax on the 110억원 received from FIFA for their participation in the 2010 World Cup. The tax figure they should have paid is in the region of 15억8000만원 which is a hell of a lot of room salon evenings for KFA bigwigs...
