Lebanon vs Korea

Postby Evergreen » Wed Nov 16, 2011 12:41 am

Shocking loss for Korea this afternoon against a poor Lebanon side. Korea now face a situation where a loss against Kuwait coupled with a Lebanon victory in Dubai, would see them crash out. This is assuming that Kuwait get the job done against UAE, which I am watching now.

Did you see the state of the pitch? It was truely shocking. Didn't suit the way Korea play at all.

Yeah it was pretty bad. I don't know what Gu Ja-Cheol was doing for Lebanon's penalty. Stupid challenge when the forward was going nowhere.

Edit: Kuwait are 1-0 down against UAE at half time. As it stands, Korea are through.

Kuwait turned it round to win 2-1. Oh shit, that'll teach me to make smart-arse jokes about losing to diddy teams in the Middle East. Could be a bit squeaky bum time in February for the home Kuwait game, although Korea only need a point.

Makes it an interesting last round in that group...Korea really did lack that killer touch in the final third and it was to be expected considering who was playing for them in their final third. They missed Park Joo Young a lot.
You would still expect Korea to go through as they have Kuwait at home in the final game...you wouldn't think Kuwait would win at Seoul.
