Yoo Byung-soo's had it as a national team squad member under Cho Kwang-rae then...

Cho has already said he's calling up Yoon Suk-young and Hong Chul to see if either of them can fill Lee Young-pyo's boots now he's retired. First game without PJS too.

I really wonder what has happened with Yoo Byeong-Soo....it is absolutely bizarre that the K-League topscorer isn't getting a decent run out.

He's got some pretty tough competition from 20-year-old former Reading academy striker Ji Dong-won, who has scored five in this seven matches for Korea, and had almost a 0.5 goals-per-match rate in 2010 with Chunnam (in all competitions).

However, former Reading academy teammate Nam Tae-hee isn't exactly a prolific goalscorer, and neither is Ulsan's Kim Shin-wook (the latter being the same age as Yoo Byung-soo).

Yoo only got 22 minutes in the whole of the Asian Cup - coming on as a sub against Australia in the 67th minute, and then getting yanked in the 89th minute... how embarrassing that must have been! Seriously... how bad could Yoo's performance have been to deserve that?

I don't rate Cho as a manager.

If he's got an attitude problem and is sounding off in public about not being in the team I can see why Cho doesn't feel inclined to include him, especially as things have been going so well with Ji Dong-won. Cho probably also wants a very mobile striker up front rather than just a target man.

Anyone see the match?

Was this the first time Korea faced a team led by the Guus Hiddink (post-2002 that is).

Match finished 0-0 (played in Trabzon).

Turkey had Emre Belözoğlu sent-off in the 58th minute.

Highlights seem to indicate that Turkey dominated the match.

I watched the highlights (kickoff was 3am here) and it looked pretty dismal....I think this game might have been one too many after the asian cup.
