Didn't realize that we could change the title on individual comments but that seems to have done the job. Thanks for that!

Not even were Daejeon Korail knocked out by K3 opposition (Chuncheon), they don't even get a mention as a highlight of the round. :0(

Cheonan City did the same to Gangneung, so that's three K3 teams in the last 16 after knocking out teams in leagues above them.

There are more K3 teams left in the competition than K2. Impressive going.

8 K1
2 K2
3 NL
3 K3

Ties for the next round on August 8th

Yangpyeong -Daegu
Incheon United -Mokpo City
Jeonnam Dragons - Chuncheon
Gimhae City - Gyeongju HNP
Asan Mugunghwa - Jeonbuk Motors
Busan I'Park - Ulsan
Seoul - Jeju United
Cheonan City -Suwon Bluewings

Wow, it'll be packed to the rafters at Asan for the visit of league leaders Jeonbuk, with people queuing overnight for tickets and the whole town buzzing.

Or maybe not.

I was at Asan a couple of weeks ago to see Asan v Citizen. It was packed to the rafters - fireworks, heavily discounted tickets and a big welcome party for the returning World Cup hero. They thought of everything...

...except putting on more than the usual three people at the ticket sales stand. I queued for the best part of 30 minutes to get in, and there were still people waiting to get in half an hour after kick off.

I'm sure they'll have learned literally nothing from that. ;0)

Four National League sides and two K3-League sides, no?

Oops, yes. I got Cheonan City mixed up with Cheongju City.

More upsets!

Incheon United [K1] 1-2 Mokpo City [NL]
Asan Mugunghwa [K2] 2-1 Jeonbuk Motors [K1]

No K3-League teams have survived, but there are more National League sides than K League 2 sides left.
