2017 summer transfers

Postby Holyjoe » Fri Jun 30, 2017 5:15 pm

"Good Korea move", "major payday", "huge stadium", "serious money being invested over there" etc.. the Scottish media have been rolling out all the stock phrases with Northern Irish international Niall McGinn being linked with a move to Gwangju following his departure from Aberdeen. Think I'll be on to supporting yet another new Korean club if this move does come off :)

McGinn signs. Four months until relegation then he'll probably be off again.

It says on the Bbc that he's been researching Korean football in the last couple of weeks.

Has he been on here? :smt006

If in his first interview he reveals how much he knows about buses, half time entertainment, unusual club nicknames and defunct K3 teams then we will know he has been on here. Especially when he declares his love for the fish cakes.

If he knows how the K league top division is going this season and can actually name a few players or reveals that he thought he was signing for Gwangju Gwangsan in time for the Winter Olympics then probably not.
Bring back King Cha.

It should be considered as summer transfer I guess, as Johnathan Aparecido da Silva of Suwon completed his permanent transfer to Suwon, signing 3 year contract.

Not much movement in terms of managers this season and then two leave within 24 hours of each other. Choi Yoon-kyum has chucked it at Gangwon and Nam Ki-il at Gwangju, both citing poor results as the reason for stepping down. Not good news for Niall McGinn at Gwangju...

And then Johnathan gets potentially a season ending injury.
