Catchphrases 2017

Postby Holyjoe » Sat Feb 25, 2017 8:21 am

Competitions seem to have been rather thin on the ground this season, even official announcements of daft slogans have been noticeable by their absence.

Thanks then go to E-Land who seem to have produced one of the first for 2017, and it's a suitably daft one at that:

Should have paid more attention, there have been loads of catchphrase competitions on the go this year!

Suwon FC have gone for the rather obvious promotion-inspired "Rise Again":

Bucheon have stuck some Chinese in theirs:

Looks like Daegu are planning on having a load of catchphrases, they're going with "#축구는대구다" (#FootballIsDaegu) with the hashtag being incredibly important and seemingly set to inspire a load of other hashtag catchphrases for the coming season:

Jeonbuk are standing up for another... another what? Bundle of cash? "Future of Jeonbuk" is the choice for 2017:

Noticed Seoul's stupidity at the game the other night. I've been in the stand for a few seasons and last season was the first year they were champions, and by accident at that.

But hey, what is a FC Seoul season without a few giant face palms?
There are two routes to success in football. One is being good. The other is being lucky. You need both to win a championship. But you need only one to win a match.

I like the Jeonbuk one, "Stand up for another champions league representative".

Good to see them getting behind their Hyundai brothers.

Gyeongnam are launching a new jazzed up homepage this Friday. I am sure our catchphrase will be on there in all its glory.

No idea what this catchphrase is all about.. presumably if you support Jeju United then Min Hyorin will come round to your house with her pet iguana for some real love?

It's right there in the search click-bait box in the images, but what does 데코뷰 mean? It looks like a waeguk word.

Deco(ration) View? Not sure what it actually means though.
In Yangju, if your cabbage doesn't understand you and you have valid reason for not eating it, then it is ok to go to other vegetables for your kimchi - though strictly nothing from south of Namyangju. -- Martyrs Forever
