Kim Chang-soo (Kashiwa Reysol) and Choi Jae-soo (Suwon Samsung) the latest big name players to join up at Jeonbuk it would seem.. Choi Kang-hee assembling a mini national team there the way things are going.

Fernando Torres seems to be washing his hair quite a bit as he doesn't seem to be responding positively to requests for signing talks but they're doing not too badly in the recruitment stakes this winter...

Former Gyeongnam man Milos Stojanovic is supposedly attracting interest from a K1 side.. no names but Suwon have been mentioned, unsure if that's the Bluewings or the newly promoted Suwon.

On his day he is a superb player and can be brilliant in dead ball situations. However, he often goes missing and there will be whole stretches of games where his effort will be minimal. I feel due to his inconsistency he wouldnt do the job at some of the bigger clubs.

Holyjoe wrote:Some el cheapo signings for Gyeongnam for 2016 - Kim Hyung-pil has arrived from Gyeongju KHNP, Park Tae-woong from Sangju after his Suwon deal expired, Nam Kwang-hyun from K3 side Hwaseong and Jang Eun-kyu from Jeju. Think they'll be looking to the National League and K3 for signings a lot more..

Did a bit of digging into them:
THE GOOD
*Kim Hyung-Pil has potential. He was knocking a goal in every second gam for Gyeongju last season and I dont think there is much difference in quality between the lower half of the K2 and n-league. Could be a good signing.
*Jang Eun-Kyu was a regular for Jeju 2 seasons ago and was still thereabouts last season. With the drop in class he could have a good season.

THE UNKNOWN
*Nam Kwang-hyun is obviously one brought in by the new manager. He must see something in him to bring him up a couple of levels.

THE BAD
*Park Tae-woong looks shite. On loan at Yongin last year he could only manage 10 appearances and didnt make any impact at Sangju at all. Not one I expect will do well.

Gyeongnam can't be all that strapped for cash, they're claiming to be close to signing "one national team level striker" and "one up and coming star-level midfielder". The latter could easily be someone who has played a couple of times at U15 and whose mum thinks he's pretty good, and the former could quite easily be similar and is likely to have picked up just a handful of caps. Suggestions are the striker is either Jung Jo-guk or Outside View podcast pin-up boy Seo Dong-hyun...

Also worth putting in here that Oh Bum-seok is leaving Suwon, he's agreed a one year deal to link up at Hong Myung-bo's Chinese side Hangzhou Greentown.

Will believe it when I see it.....

Milos wrote to me last week saying he has had a few offers from Korea in Seongnam and Suwon City FC. He has since removed himself from Facebook. His wife however has recently added Busan I Park to teams she likes!!!! Deleted Gyeongnam too. Bitter much!! A big hint in that it could be I Park.

The rich get richer. Jeonbuk signed Kimbo: https://twitter.com/Jeonbuk_hyundai/sta ... 4727276545

Also, Jeonnam added Croatian midfielder Vedran Jugović. Wrote about him here: http://www.kleagueunited.com/2016/01/ve ... onnam.html

I was actually pretty happy to see him go to be honest. Absolutely woeful positional sense and was constantly too far up field. Seemed like he wanted to join the attack more than mark his man and was burned quite often because of it. He's also not much in the air on set pieces and was undone more times than I'd care to count. However, if Jeonbuk has designs of playing him CDM instead of CB, he could be a solid fit. He has the defensive capabilities when he's in the right place and that'd likely be the case more often if he was in a position where he could roam forward more freely. He was quite the liability in the back four though, so if they put him there you can hope a new manager will turn him around or prepare for teams to get a lot more shots off from the center of the pitch.

E-Land have indeed gone Brazilian for Johnson's replacement but they've not had to go too far to find him. They've signed Gangwon striker Jonatas Belusso who scored 15 goals in 31 appearances last season. Pretty decent array of attacking talent they've put together for a push for promotion this year.

Also looks as though Bobby Cullen will be following Johnson out the exit door but not confirmed just yet.

Sisinio Gonzalez has left Suwon FC and looks set to move to a club in Eastern Europe. Despite protests to the contrary I'm still convinced he was done over by an agent somewhere and he fully expected to be playing for Suwon Bluewings and not Suwon in K2.. anyway that's his short spell in Korea over.

Belusso was a good player so a decent signing. If Bobby goes then we'll have to track down another English speaking Asian player to take his place... an Aussie maybe?
