I cant remember where the 600 million number has come. Got a feeling it was a private discussion with second information from club officials and what the provincial office is willing to offer as well as zero foreign players will be signed next season.

I could find an article (in Korean)however that Gyeongnam is cutting back their squad to 26 players for next season and cutting their youth program.

Has the National League ever published their salaries? Curious if there was a drop when the K-League Challenge was instituted.

We had a thread somewhere on here regarding squad sizes, and quite a bit of discussion on how the introduction of a 2nd tier would probably see K1 sides reduce the size of their squads with players dropping down a division in search of more first team football... can't be arsed hunting out that thread (if indeed it did exist and I'm not making it up) so I'll stick these stats in here.

The transfer window has shut and a total of 779 players have been registered across both K-League divisions - 419 at K1 sides and 360 at K2 sides. Average squad sizes weigh in at 34.9 for the top flight and 36 for K-League Challenge.

Seemingly Suwon Bluewings and Sangju have the biggest squads in K1 with 41 registered players, Daegu close behind them at 39 players. Jeonnam have the smallest of the K1 squads with just 28 players.

At K2 level it's Gyeongnam and Seoul E-Land who seem to like collecting players, both have a squad of 39 players with the smallest second division squad belonging to the Asan Bobbies who have 32 registered to play for them.

According to the official stats just eleven of the K1 and K2 sides have registered the full permissible quota of foreign players (three foreign types and one 'Asian Quota' player) - Jeonbuk, Jeju, Ulsan, Jeonnam, Suwon Bluewings, Pohang, Incheon, Seongnam, Suwon FC, Bucheon and Busan.
