Seoul United

City: Seoul
Stadium: Either Jamsil Olympic main stadium or adjacent practice pitch
Capacity: 69,841 (practice pitch: 4,000)
Formed: 2007
Division: K3 League
Honours: K3 League champions (2007)
Website: www.seoulutd.com

How To Get There
  • Take Seoul subway line 2 (green line) to Sports Complex station.
  • Exit the station via exit 6 or 7.
  • The Jamsil Olympic main stadium is a five minute walk from the subway station exit.
  • For directions to the practice pitch: "Come out of the subway station, walk across the big car park towards the main olympic stadium (with the baseball stadium on your left). Just before the steps leading up to the main stadium, stop and turn left. Walk around the main stadium on the left side, through a kind of car park with a low roof, and just when you start to think you've gone the wrong way you will see a table selling tickets and the entrance to the small stadium." (Cyclops)

Ticket Prices
Admission is 10,000 won for all home K3 League matches at either the main Olympic stadium or the practice pitch.

Beer & Food
  • There is usually a small stall inside the main Olympic stadium selling cup ramyeon and a limited amount of other items.
  • The outside of the baseball stadium in the sports complex (on the left as you exit the subway) has Burger King, KFC and Dominos pizza outlets.
  • There are GS25 convenience stores around the outside of the baseball stadium and, usually, ajummas selling beer, soju and dried squid (if that's your thing...) in the vicinity.

Hello, did Seoul United move grounds to Hyochang Stadium?

Wiki lists their stadium as Hyochang, but their official site lists Jamsil Olympic Stadium as their main ground.

They started playing at Hyochang last season, on account of Jamsil being rented out by another party for the date. They have shifted over for most all their fixtures to Hyochang this season.

Aye, and owing to Hyochang being double booked they had to play their final two home matches at the Nowon Madeul stadium.

Things will be a little touch and go, we should have some form of a fixture list maybe the month before the league will start, we'll have to keep our eyes peeled. :)

This article was published today, saying Seoul United have agreed a deal with Nowon district's leisure and sports committee to play at the Nowon Madeul stadium from 2011. They've also committed to organising a shedload of free football coaching courses and youth football competitions.

I'm planning on going to the Seoul United game on saturday. I'd be grateful if someone could have a quick glance at their website and confirm that its a 3pm kick-off at the Nowon Madeul stadium. Thanks very much.

I sent the Seoul United twitter account a message in Korean and the guy responded in English. It is in Nowon and kickoff is at 3.

Thanks Sampo, it's much appreciated. I didnt really want to kick-off a new season by turning up at a padlocked stadium.

My blog is up and running and over the next week I'll be getting all the fixtures and what have you on it. As well as some very low brow humour.

You can head in from the opposite direction from subway line 1 too, but I can't remember the name of the station.

Errr, were you expecting there to be convenience stores located in the school's grounds, SeoulFox?
