K3 - Bucheon FC - Bucheon Leports Complex

Postby nzfooty » Sat Nov 15, 2008 11:02 pm

Bucheon FC 1995

City: Bucheon
Stadium: Bucheon Leports Complex
Capacity: 35,803
Formed: 2007
Division: K3 League
Honours:
Website: http://www.bfc1995.com/

How To Get There
  • Take the Seoul Subway line 1 (blue line) to Sosa (소사) station, which is next to Bucheon station
  • Directions to the stadium: "You should go out the north side (북부) - there is only one exit I think, it's a small station. I've never gone out there though, only walked past." (Hootsmon)
  • "Walk out the door, look left and there's a large, main road with a bridge to your left."
    (Hootsmon)
  • "If you don't fancy walking, there's a large taxi rank under the bridge pointing in the right direction. A taxi will only take about 5 minutes to get there." (Hootsmon)
  • "If you are walking, turn right away from the bridge and walk up the road for about 10 minutes until you can see the highway looking like it leads out of town. Just follow that highway for about 20-25 minutes and the stadium is on your right. The stadium is well signposted until you reach the highway, when you can't see any signs for... ages."
    (Hootsmon)

The gate you want to head to is N-다 10. No other gates are open, I think, because there are so few fans. There are instructions on the Bucheon FC website on how to get to that gate.

Tickets for adults cost 10,000 for important matches (though it doesn't say which teams these are against...maybe just Seoul FC?) and 5,000 for normal matches. Children get in for 5,000 for big matches, 3,000 for normal games.

Did they charge 10k for the game against Seoul United at the end of the season? That's a bit cheeky... I went to about five or six Bucheon games this season and they were all 5k. Just had a look at their official website and they claim to have set a K3 record attendance of 5,224 for that game against United so I guess it was worth jacking the price up (although that attendance figure was most probably artificially inflated).

They gave our vouchers for the Seoul United game; they passed them out at the home game before the SU match, and you could print them off the website.

I didn't have a voucher and they still let me in for free, I don't think anyone paid to get in. 5,000 is over inflated but there was a big crowd. 3,000 maybe? It's difficult to judge in such a big stadium.

I read somewhere that Bucheon are planning on installing temporary trackside seating at the Leports to try and create a bit more of an atmosphere.

If anyone wants to make some real cash in Korea they should open up a temporary trackside seating hire company, all the teams seem to want to get in on the action these days...
