I just had to post to say that a team dry-humping another is just beautiful use of the language. Well done! I award you Best Writing of the Year prize for 2017. It won't be beaten.

Looks like the full fixtures list is posted on the KFA site now:
http://joinkfa.com/league2/league_singl ... 7&keyword=

First round kicks off on 25 February and features the following matches (and 2016 league position):

[01] 14:00 Gyeongju (10th) - Jeonju (5th)
[02] 14:00 Cheongju FC (15th) - Gimpo (2nd)
[03] 15:00 Pocheon (1st) - Icheon (6th) ***** Scheduled for 11 March instead *****
[04] 15:00 Hwaseong (9th) - Yangju (4th)
[05] 13:00 Yangpyeong (10th) - Chuncheon (8th)
[06] 15:00 Paju (7th) - Cheongju City (3rd)
In Yangju, if your cabbage doesn't understand you and you have valid reason for not eating it, then it is ok to go to other vegetables for your kimchi - though strictly nothing from south of Namyangju. -- Martyrs Forever

For those of you who enjoy Chinese Super League x K3 League crossovers or K3 teams beating up on supposedly 'better' opposition ...

Mikel suffers eighth consecutive loss with Tianjin Teda

Super Eagles captain, Obi Mikel and his teammates at Chinese out fit, Tianjin Teda continued their dismal performance, after losing 2-1 to South Korean amateur team Gyeongju citizens in their latest friendly yesterday.

The defeat is their eight consecutive loss in pre-season ahead of their Chinese Super League opener against Shandong Luneng on March 4.

During their training camp in Marbella, Tianjin Teda lost all their four games to Borussia Mönchengladbach U23s, St. Pauli, Dinamo Bucureşti and Dynamo Kiev.

Following three losses against Gyeongnam FC, Busan and Ulsan Hyundai, they have conceded 24 goals in total, an average of three goals per game.

Mikel penned a three-year contract with Tianjin Teda in January, ending his close to eleven years association with Chelsea in the process.

So is K3 officially better than the CSL now then? Transfer window's still open, don't give up on Yangju to sign Messi just yet...
This season I will be mostly supporting :
KLClassic - Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors / KLChallenge & National League - Anyone & Everyone / K3 League - Jeonju Citizen

I thought it was only the Scottish Premier League that was so utterly fucked up to allow clubs to postpone regular league matches to play in glitzy, money spinning international friendly matches but no, Pocheon are clearly the Celtic of the K3 Advance League as they are opting out of beginning the regular league season at the same time as everyone else so they can jet off to Bangladesh to complete in the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup from February 18th to March 2nd.

Competing teams are as follows:

Shaheen Asmayee FC (Afghanistan)
Manang Marshyangdi Club (Nepal)
TC Sports Club (Maldives)
Pocheon Citizen Football Club (South Korea)
FC Alga Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan)
Dhaka Abahani (Bangladesh)
Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club (Bangladesh)
Chittagong Abahani (Bangladesh)

That's better than anything the Champions League can throw up!
K3 Advanced has some good teams. It's going to be a strong league.

I went down to Hwaseong on Saturday to see their opener Yangju. Met SpainGuy in the first half and we had a brief chat, then I wandered off during halftime so I could shout pro-Yangju slogans somewhere that wasn't full of Hwaseong fans.

Hwaseong controlled midfield for much of the game, but despite having 3 or 4 K-League players in the squad they didn't look unbeatable. The single goal came from a corner kick and was Hwaseong's best-looking chance of the match. Yangju, meanwhile, had two shots hit the post and did really well going down the wings. I think our right winger must have raced past Hwaseong's leftback close to a dozen times.

The big problem for Yangju was that their passing lacked pace, so passes were either intercepted mid-route or the intended recipient had to hold up their run to wait for the ball to arrive. Same for some of the shooting, which also lacked pace. Could this be from playing/practicing on artificial turf in Yangju all the time?

Last kick of the game was a Hwaseong defender playing the ball back to the keeper. He ended up sending a lob over the keeper that ricocheted into the crossbar and out. Everyone prepared for a corner - Yangju pulled a bunch of players forward, the Hwaseong keeper organized his defenders, both sets of players looked ready, then the ref whistled for full time without allowing the corner kick to be taken. A bit anti-climactic, and I would preferred having the match end with the ball going out of play if we weren't going to get the corner kick.

Just piecing together Pocheon's results from this fancy international tournament they're playing in - they're through to the semis after finishing 2nd in their group with the following scorelines:

18/02/17: 2-0 v FC Alga Bishkek (Kyrgystan)
20/02/17: 0-0 v Dhaka Abahani (Bangladesh)
22/02/17: 1-1 v TC Sports Club (Maldives)

They now face Bangladeshi side Chittagong Abahani in the semi I think on Tuesday 28th. TC Sports Club and Manang Marshyangdi Club face off in the other semi final on Monday.

Round 2 Fixtures (Previous result in parentheses):

[07] 15:00 Gimpo (W) - Gyeongju (D)
[08] 15:00 Icheon (x) - Cheongju FC (L)
[09] 15:00 Yangju (L) - Pocheon (x) ***** Rescheduled to March 18th *****
[10] 15:00 Hwaseong (W) - Chuncheon (L)
[11] 15:00 Yangpyeong (W) - Cheongju City (W)
[12] 15:00 Jeonju (D) - Paju (L)

All matches to be played on 4 March except Yangju-Pocheon. Pocheon is still off molesting waterfowl in Bangladesh and can't be bothered to play in the K3 League these days. I say kick 'em out if they can't be bothered to show up to their fixtures. If Seoul Martyrs kept conceding walkovers for not having (enough) players the same should apply to Pocheon.

Why is Advanced going ahead in March and Basic not starting up again for another month?
More importantly, are they producing two K3 booklets this year or a combined one?
Molesting waterfowl is a lovely image.

Didn't notice guidebooks at either the Hwaseong or Uijeongbu match, so your guess is as good as mine.

Good shout! I'll have to get up there for the game against the students.
