2017 K3 League Advanced (D4) season
The English Wikipedia page is shaping up nicely...
Re: 2017 K3 League Advanced (D4) season
A couple of big name additions to the league, at least for the first six months of the year anyway... Jeonbuk's Han Kyo-won is joining up with Hwaseong as he's undertaking his national service and isn't linking up with Sangju or the coppers. Perhaps even more noteworthy than him is former Incheon United, Al Hilal and FC Rostov forward Yoo Byung-soo who will turn out in Gimpo colours for the first part of 2017.

Is this Yoo's military service then? Originally saw it and it looked as if it was just a random signing. Career has gone completely down the pan now it seems.

Koh Gwangmin will also be turning out somewhere I assume. He failed his medical so he's doing alternative service and will play as an amateur at an as yet unnamed team

Sounds like it will be a ROK MNT who's-who in the K3 this season!

Re: 2017 K3 League Advanced (D4) season
No surprises here: the 2017 K3 League Advanced will contain 12 clubs.
Matches will be held primarily (exclusively?) on Saturdays. The season begins on February 25th.
The championship will have the same format as 2016: the league winner advances to the championship final, while 2nd through 5th compete in playoffs to see which other club will contest the final.
The bottom two clubs (11th and 12th) will be automatically relegated to the 2018 K3 League Basic.
The league is pushing for at least one U-21 player to dress for each club every match. This is recommended for 2017, and will become mandatory for 2018.

Seongnam goalkeeper Park Jun-hyuk will join Pocheon on loan. Sounds like he failed his military medical as well (long-term injury?) and will perform "public service" as a ringer in the K3. He was the Korean FA Cup MVP for 2014.
Heaps of talent in the K3, according to this article.

Guess Pocheon is not strong enough yet?
There are two routes to success in football. One is being good. The other is being lucky. You need both to win a championship. But you need only one to win a match.

Re: 2017 K3 League Advanced (D4) season
Those pictures are quite impressive for K3 - they appear to be taken on an official stage of some sort instead of in front of somebody's uncle's Samgyeopsal restaurant; and in the second one we have one guy about to break into the Gangnam Style dance while the other appears to be measuring the air in front of him. Also, why do they need to draw out balls to determine the league?!
This season I will be mostly supporting :
KLClassic - Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors / KLChallenge & National League - Anyone & Everyone / K3 League - Jeonju Citizen

I wondered the same thing. Perhaps referee-bribe queue order?

Yeah, it is becoming rather daft. The Advanced/Basic split will thankfully help avoid too many 10-0 scorelines, but the likes of Pocheon really should be pushed up to the National League.

The list of players in and out at Hwaseong, as of January 13th. It includes Song Chi-hoon formerly Bucheon (2013-2014.07?)... and SpainGuy!
Interesting that Jeonbuk's Han Kyo-won isn't listed as an incoming player, as Hwaseong posted about it on their social media previously.

"Daegu FC forward Choi Jung-han will begin his military duty as public service worker soon. He will play for Hwaseong FC for 21 months."
Blimey, Pocheon and Hwaseong are going to end up dry-humping the K3 Advanced. Might as well put them in the National League now.
