Do they have replica shirts for Wellytong yet? I know where I could shift a few of those.

Those two Brazilian lads look like they've been kidnapped. The Rev. Cho got them over on a church school exchange and then told them they'd be forced to play in the Basic for 6 months. Can't wait for the Buyeo game...I'm all set....new ground...middle of nowhere...it can only be the K3 Basic!

Round 2 Results
2017 April 8

[5] Uijeongbu 0:2 Seoul Jungnang (Attendance: 105)
[6] Siheung 3:1 Seoul United (Attendance: 200)
[7] Busan 2:2 Pyeongchang (Attendance: 210)
[8] Buyeo 0:0 Goyang (Attendance: 80)

Checked the first round fixtures again and it seems Pyeongtaek's home opener drew a crowd of 1,000 while Pyeongchang had 500 turn up to see the team defeat Seoul United. And then there's Buyeo this week ...

Also interesting to see how the scheduling gave Uijeongbu two home games to start the season while Seoul United have been on the road twice now.
In Yangju, if your cabbage doesn't understand you and you have valid reason for not eating it, then it is ok to go to other vegetables for your kimchi - though strictly nothing from south of Namyangju. -- Martyrs Forever

I was one of the 80! I don't know how they counted though because it was a free for all walk in - and there must have been 30 suits there from the KFA and the Buyeo County Football Association Grumpy Old Bastards Society. Pretty dire game and not worth the hassle getting there with my wife's useless satnav app and directions. Getting back was easier. The Bee Gees were two strong and started the season with a rousing rendition of 'It's a Heartache'. I nearly cried. The locals seemed restless at having fans that had banners, scarves and chants based on 1980's songs. Buyeo, still stuck in Baekje times, is still lacking a convenience store at the ground which brought back a vision of the Saint at Jungnang looking for a 7Eleven whilst I thought he was a German hiker. Both teams didn't seem that good but Goyang looked more solid at the back this week than the whole of last season. A few new players but quite a lot I recognised from last year. Goyang's two Brazilian lads were sat on their own in the VIP section so Rev. Cho, who I didn't see, clearly didn't sort out the visas. They were doing some keepie-uppies at the side at half-time but didn't seem all that good. We had the two best chances and their keeper made two good saves. We kept them pretty quiet, although I don't think Buyeo will be up there at the end of the season so it might not have been much of a test.

Busan FC drawing a Busan I'Park-esque crowd for their season opener, but in much more appropriate surroundings. I'm sure I read I'Park have decamped to the Gudeok for the rest of the season, squeezed out of their own patch by a brand new fifth division club?

I'm at the big stadium for the home opener. I prefer the byulmori. The Bee Gees are at 7 now and have taken up a traditional behind the goal Curva Nord position. They've even got membership sign up sheets!! Crowd no bigger. No GS25 behind you. Further on subway. All bad news. Still no Brazilians. One was sipping Coke before the game. 0-0 after ten mins. No shots on goal. Basic is the word.

It's there! First goal of the season. 44 mins. Header from six yards. Mile offside. 1-0 to the Pies.

Uijeongbu in shock 'we're not using the dressing room' Phil Brown style shock. Will it work? Goyang have cheerleaders now?! This is getting worse!

The tension was all around the ground as we got to 90 and Goyang clung on for the 1-0. I'm not sure if we are better or the others worse but certainly the Basic is another step down in standard. 4 points and no goals let in!!

You might have told us the score! (I went to check) 1-0 to Buyeo.....looks like the Zebs might be propping up the league this year.

That kit is clearly a shift to rid themselves of the Zebras nickname that I have cursed them with! They've done nothing since I came along! I mean, sure, they'd done nothing before that but that's irrelevant! They did have a ton of fans back in the day who have disappeared as the curse as becomes stronger. Dark magic.

Next Week:
Pyeongtaek v Uijeongbu
Buyeo v Busan (take your own snacks)
Mustangs v Zebras
Pyeongchang v Goyang (see you there!)
