Play Offs:

22nd October:
QF1 Cheongju C v Yangju
QF2 Gimpo v Jeonju

29th October:
SF1 Winner QF1 v Winner QF2

5th November:
Final Leg 1 Winner SF1 V v Pocheon

12th November:
Final Leg 2 Pocheon v Winner SF1

Relegation/Basic League Play-Off

23rd October:
PO1 Siheung v Cheongju FC
PO2 Jungnang v Pyeongchang

30th October
Winner PO1 v Winner PO2

I'm sure I've said this before about the play-offs but the whole thing seems pointless to me. Pocheon won the league and Siheung finished twelfth. That's it!

Are all these clubs in the "K3 Advance" next season?

The top 11 from the final league table are.....unless some drop out but the relegation play off is to see who finishes 12th and therefore goes into Advanced. I'd still like to see the National League lot merge into Advanced for a decent lower league.

Basic can all f-off for my money!

Ultras Magpies - all three of them - are anti-racist and anti-fascist, which surely defeats the purpose of all ultras everywhere. I wonder if they are aware that they are known as the Bee Gees on this forum?

There is now a new definition of mid-life crisis: A man sitting up at 1.30 in the morning, eating mini Twix bars and watching a complete video of a K3 football game. Welcome to my world!

This stuff is pure K3 gold!

Championship playoff quarter-finals currently streaming on Naver. Not geoblocked.

Results:
Gimpo 0-1 Jeonju
Cheongju City 1-1 Yangju (Cheongju City advance)

That's lowest-seeded Jeonju knocking out highest-seed quarter-finalist Gimpo.

Next up:

Promotion playoffs - Sunday, October 23, 13:00 (5:00am in Britain)
Siheung vs. Cheongju - IB스포츠(IPTV/위성)/네이버 중계
Jungrang Chorus Mustang vs. Pyeongchang - IB골프(IPTV/위성)/네이버 중계

He's our office manager but not the actual team manager. Noticed he and his wife were using plastic cones at the Paju match as well, occasionally making buzzing sounds like miniature vuvuzelas.

Not really sure how I feel about the higher-placed team getting home advantage AND advancing with a draw. Jeonju managed to overcome Gimpo though, so I suppose I have only the team to blame for not getting a better result.

K3 League play-offs airing on the Golf Channel? I imagine that's going to give someone a surprise tomorrow.
In Yangju, if your cabbage doesn't understand you and you have valid reason for not eating it, then it is ok to go to other vegetables for your kimchi - though strictly nothing from south of Namyangju. -- Martyrs Forever

K3 League promotion playoffs (winner to K3 Advance; three losers to K3 Basic):
Siheung Citizen 1-2 Cheongju FC
(Seoul) Jungrang Chorus Mustang 0-1 Pyeongchang FC

That's the two highest-seeded sides dumped out. Siheung will be peeved that these playoffs were even conceived, but it's definitely helped to spice up the proceedings.

Final:
Sunday, October 30, 13:00
Pyeongchang FC vs. Cheongju FC (venue TBA, once the contents of all the envelopes have been examined)

I assume there will be a non-geoblocked stream on Naver, and televised on either IB Sports or Korea Golf.

Pyeongchang's goalkeeper took a knock and was subbed out in the first half. He was attended by a physio dressed in a lab coat and equipped only with a can of magic spray and a water bottle, as well as some other random guy wearing a Busan IPark jacket (up there in Gyeonggi-do). Your guess is as good as mine.

Pyeongchang took the risk of not putting a goalkeeper on the bench, so they had to use an outfield player in goal, resorting to using tape to mark his number on a grey goalkeeper shirt. He then came out for the second half wearing a black goalkeeper shirt with no number on it.

Despite the goalkeeping malarkey, playing away and being the lower seed, Pyeongchang won the match.

The K3 is a mysterious world.
