game with unknown teams

Postby gnaski » Wed Jan 06, 2016 1:41 am

Hi - watched a game in march last year but couldn't find anything about the teams.
Maybe it was a college-game. If anybody could help me - would be great. Here the facts:

Tuesday, 24th of march 2015
Hyochang Stadium in Seoul
Kick-off at 12:00 (noon)
Team A in orange (home?)
Team B in lighter blue
score: the blues won 2:0

thanks

They look like kids to me. There weren't any uni league matches on the 24th of March as far as I can tell. The closest is 3-0 on the 20th March http://joinkfa.com/league2/score_result ... 5&keyword=

Are you sure you've got all the details right? Your best bet is to search through the various leagues on JoinKFA. If it's not in there then I don't know how you'll find it.

Did you e-mail me about this before?

I think my suggestion was that it might be an E-Land v Uni pre-season friendly as they used Hyochang as a base before Jamsil/the training ground was ready. Can't find any info on it.

If it's E-Land shouldn't there be at least one whitey on the blue team bench?

Thnking something to do with E-Land due to that banner behind the goal for "Sonsoochoon Hospital", which I don't think I've seen at Hyochang before and which a quick naver search reveals to be E-Land's "designated partner hospital". Though with no sign of head-ferret on the bench it can't be their full team. They do look a bit like kids too although the kids games at Hyochang Park usually have far more people attending them, even at midday. Did E-Land have a Youth team sorted out by then?

A pity you didn't get a picture from the other end of the ground with the scoreboard in it!

Looks like Martyrs against Bangbae No.4 Elementary U-9 Third XI. We lost 2-0.

Piggy's probably the one asking the question.

I could believe Martyr's losing to Bangbae No.4 Elementary U-9 Second XI, but I've seen the third stringers play a few times and they really are complete pish. For starters there's only five of them and none of them play in goal. To claim that Martyr's lost to those guys is stretching implausibility just a bit too far.

Wouldn't be one of those Seoul Cup games would it? Jungang Bastards v Samhwa Insurance Yongsan Office or something equally random?
This season I will be mostly supporting :
KLClassic - Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors / KLChallenge & National League - Anyone & Everyone / K3 League - Jeonju Citizen

Hi - thanks so far.

@SteveW: Yes, I asked you some time ago the same question via your blog

All I can say is, that the players weren't kids.
They looked to me round about 21.
Later on, some kids started their warm-up. (see pic)

Also another pic with a second banner. Maybe it helps.

And no - I'm not Piggy.

The other blue banner with the KFA logo on it is referring to the KFA's Golden Age Talent Centre which is their youth player training program. I don't know if that helps though, they may have been put up for a different match.

No scoreboard means it wasn't important!

Yep eujin has cracked it.. put that into Daum and it came back with this link (rather strangely titled KKK FC) which states the day was essentially a training session for the Seoul south region youth player training program. They had U12, U13 and U14/15 sessions with players drawn from a variety of school and youth clubs. Doesn't help with which specific teams you saw but that link gives a list of names and teams the various kids involved in the training program were affiliated with.
