"Remember when we won the World Cup and people lined the streets to wave their dusters at us?"

"Those people were forced to do that, honey."

"Ahh, bugger."

To be fair, if I lived in Pyeongyang and my team won the World Cup, you wouldn't need to force me to go and wave my duster at their flower truck.

Especially if I got the day off work for it.

This just ticks all sorts of boxes... a football tournament sponsored by a bus company, two tremendous club names, a touchline bus parade, a broken team bus awarded as a prize. Just brilliant.

Luso TV makes millions of kwachas out of broken bus: Bus Ipite football bonanza
Wednesday 4th January 2017

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)—Mighty Be Forward Wanderers fans are mad at Luso Television, the sponsor for the just ended “Bus Ipite Football Bonanza”, for awarding their team a seemingly broken 26-seater bus after beating arch rivals Nyasa Big Bullets.

According to reports, the bus developed ‘serious’ clutch plate faults at Manjawira in Ntcheu.

This is when the bus was being taken to the team’s base in Blantyre.

Reports say after being repaired, the bus hit the road again for Blantyre.

Meanwhile, social media reactions from the team’s fans do not make good reading for sponsors Luso Television at all.

Some fans on Facebook have urged the teams to return the bus which they believe is not in good condition and argued that a health vehicle would not break down after not less than a week of use.

”Just a week of being around and it develops problems already?. Are we serious?. This is going to cost us a lot why not return it and they give us the money they used to buy it and fetch our own bus?” one fan’s comment read.

The bus traveled to Blantyre where it was shown to the public and handed over to the FA before it hit the road again for Lilongwe where the second leg took place.

This has also come at a time when the bonanza has faced criticisms.

Meanwhile, the fans of the two teams have accused the teams’ officials of being used by the television station, arguing the media has benefited a lot from the two games.

At Bingu National Stadium, the gate collections were over K40 million and as per agreement the two teams got nothing from that huge amount.

Siheung don't have a dedicated team bus, but the sticker they slap on the side does have their updated logo:

Bus porn meets a catchphrase competition! That's like catnip to this online forum.

My suggestions:

South Korea: "Welp..."
Saudi Arabia: "We'll make Egypt surrender like Lebanon."
England: "No, our hooligans aren't hiding inside this bus. Kindly take your bricks elsewhere."
England (runner-up): "Rostov-on-Don ain't no Stoke-on-Trent."
