How did things go down when the J-League introduced J2? I'd imagine there must have been similar concerns back when that started up... though I guess they had a lot more companies interested in running teams than Korea does. Unless the likes of KT, Lotte, OB or Jinro (soon to be one and the same? ;)...

Is that just as a temporary solution for 2006 (a la Alex Ferguson of Aberdeen at the 1986 World Cup with Scotland ;) ) or on a permanent basis?

That must be close to ten years he's been at Arsenal now...

Re:

I'll go to soccerworld and post something. But how do you guys prefer me saying it? 외국인 계시판? Yeah, something like that... if there's any interest then I could put a Korean language only board on here to try and get some folk over from Soccerworld to post on...

K2 naming conventions

Just wanted to get a quick consensus as to whether clubs like "Suwon City Hall" should be referenced as "Suwon City" to try and make the names a bit more like regular football clubs. Not much can be done with Daejeon Hydro & Nuclear Power (though shortened to Daejeon HNP it sounds a bit better) ...

What's a bog roll? Like a piece of sod? Toilet paper, essentially... the stuff they chuck around at the start of matches :) The info about cans/bottles/bog roll came from a message posted on the Daejeon website, but that TJB programme sounds even worse... I guess compared to baseball and basketball...

Aye I remember reading something from an ex-Busan employee (no names ;) ) about the whole incident with the photo captions, which was quite frankly ridiculous. Then the possible "legal action" over the Busan logos on the old Busan board  I'm still waiting for Ian Porterfield to become Dundee U...

Daejeon banning bottles, cans and bog roll

Apparently after a ton of the above-mentioned stuff was thrown around at the game on Saturday against Suwon, Daejeon are banning folk from bringing bottles and cans into the stadium and also want to stop them chucking bog roll onto the pitch at the start of the game as the kick-off was delayed. Dunn...

Busan through (probably)

Surely they can't screw it up in what's turned out to be a rather easy group, still to concede a goal in their three games so far (think they're at 14-0 in terms of goal difference). Suwon... not so good as it's probably going to go right down to the last match in China to decide who goes through th...

Uzbekistan fire manager

after losing to Korea, and a former Korean (temporary) coach Anatoli Bychovets is a strong candidate.. that'll keep him away from Hearts then if he goes there. http://www.footballasia.com/en/comps/worldcup/index.asp?id=38868&cid=1189&mth=4&yr=2005 Thought the Uzbeks would have put up a b...

K-League backing out of promotion/relegation?

From the Korea Times : "We don’t expect to have a very stable system like those in European leagues," K-League secretary general Kim Won-dong said on the league’s Web site Sunday. "It is doubtful that K-League club owners would keep their teams going if they get relegated to the K2 League. Also, I w...

Re: Hi, good job :)

Impressive stuff, with quite a few decent articles and research. By the way, what's in plan for updating the site? How often will we see new contents and column-like articles? As and when some new ideas/thoughts come up ;) And yeah, are you guys interested in promoting the site in Soccerworld and s...

Obviously I have to vote for Suwon ( ;) ) though I reckon it'll be a pretty tight race - they're just not as far ahead of the pack as Seongnam were in 2003.
