Bucheon v Incheon

Probably going to go to this game tomorrow (yeah I always say that and then can't be ersed going to the match...), though it's got all the signs of a 0-0 draw. Incheon have scored one goal in six games this year, and if we were renaming K-League clubs (a la the K2 thread) then "Bucheon 0" might not ...

Hmmm, guess it's not possible to post Korean in the subject titles. I'll have to investigate any board add-ons or language packs to see if you can do that.

Dont you think Korea has to improve a lot to take some points in Wc 2006 ? I think so, this team is not strong enough. What struck me at the Uzbekistan game is there's nothing really 'special' about Korea that lifts them above the rest of the second tier of international nations and suggests they c...

Yeah Hallelujah and Sangmu are fine (the first moreso because they were the original K-League champions with that name). I definitely like ditching the "Hall" from the "City Hall" teams, though most of the teams are likely only to be referred to by their city names anyway. The only real need to diff...

Yeah, Shenzhen beating Jubilo was a bit of a surprise result so if Jubilo don't do anything stupid at home then Suwon will be looking good.

I wonder if there are any plans to expand the ACL to having two teams qualify from each group to a last 16? (maybe not...)

Hmm, if "improved marketing" means the clubs start with ditching the corporate identities in their names then I'm all for it. Though I still reckon we'll see 'Seoul GS' before long...

How did things go down when the J-League introduced J2? I'd imagine there must have been similar concerns back when that started up... though I guess they had a lot more companies interested in running teams than Korea does. Unless the likes of KT, Lotte, OB or Jinro (soon to be one and the same? ;)...

Is that just as a temporary solution for 2006 (a la Alex Ferguson of Aberdeen at the 1986 World Cup with Scotland ;) ) or on a permanent basis?

That must be close to ten years he's been at Arsenal now...

I'll go to soccerworld and post something. But how do you guys prefer me saying it? 외국인 계시판? Yeah, something like that... if there's any interest then I could put a Korean language only board on here to try and get some folk over from Soccerworld to post on...

K2 naming conventions

Just wanted to get a quick consensus as to whether clubs like "Suwon City Hall" should be referenced as "Suwon City" to try and make the names a bit more like regular football clubs. Not much can be done with Daejeon Hydro & Nuclear Power (though shortened to Daejeon HNP it sounds a bit better) ...

What's a bog roll? Like a piece of sod? Toilet paper, essentially... the stuff they chuck around at the start of matches :) The info about cans/bottles/bog roll came from a message posted on the Daejeon website, but that TJB programme sounds even worse... I guess compared to baseball and basketball...

Aye I remember reading something from an ex-Busan employee (no names ;) ) about the whole incident with the photo captions, which was quite frankly ridiculous. Then the possible "legal action" over the Busan logos on the old Busan board  I'm still waiting for Ian Porterfield to become Dundee U...

Daejeon banning bottles, cans and bog roll

Apparently after a ton of the above-mentioned stuff was thrown around at the game on Saturday against Suwon, Daejeon are banning folk from bringing bottles and cans into the stadium and also want to stop them chucking bog roll onto the pitch at the start of the game as the kick-off was delayed. Dunn...
