Re: 2018 N-league season

That's all very well for construction companies, but what about the garden furniture industry? When PatiosFC win the K-League three years in a row you'll know it's on the way. Google informs me that they already have a badge. https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/378800000856517576/ySudk3lp_400x400....

Re: 2018 N-league season

Welcome back to somewhere that is 8000km from me. I think it was Korail vs Gangneung that I went to watch at Hanbat with SteveW back in the day when he was doing the 48. Good to see ROKfootball keeping up the representation. You may be misunderstanding the point of the 5000 seater rule. As long as t...

2018 Korean FA Cup (all rounds)

Keeping Round 3 results in the same thread; maybe a helpful admin can change the title ... Do we still have any helpful admins around here, or are we now just tossing and turning rudderless in the storm of social media? I can change the title on my comment, but not the whole thread. Maybe that need...

Re: 2018 K League 1

Double as many matches played now as the last time I posted the league table and it's still Gyeongnam and Pohang in the top two places.

If it stays like this until the end of the season I'll do the first MOTD of next season in just my undies.

Re: 2018 AFC Champions League

Good results in this week's matches for Jeonbuk and bottom of the K-League Ulsan who beat Melbourne 6-2. Both teams are now through to the next round with one match left to play. Jeju are now eliminated and Suwon managed to make things interesting by losing 4-1 at home to Sydney. Suwon need to win a...

Re: 2018 Korean FA Cup Rounds 1 & 2

Ahhh, it's Yeoju Sejong, not Yeosu Sejong. I've been on a few false trails before to lower league grounds, but that would have been the granddaddy of them all! So did no one on their way to the Olympics end up in Pyeongyang instead of Pyeongchang? That's really rather disappointing. https://www.wsj...

Re: 2018 AFC Champions League

The red card is very harsh. Even a yellow is harsh there as the guy is just asleep. But it sounds like there was an excellent atmosphere and the away support was decent too.

Re: World Cup 2018

Isn't Brazil fifth for population? According to this list , only two of the top eight countries (Brazil and Nigeria) qualified. Brazil is pretty close to being in the top five. I was going by this list on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_and_dependencies_by_population, whic...

World Cup 2018

It's less than 100 days to go now. The Korean team are in a tough group F with Germany, Sweden and Mexico. If by some miracle they mange to get out of that group, they might end up facing Brazil in the round of 32. Apparently the Korean team will be basing themselves in Saint Petersburg, although no...

It's already a 49,000-seater, so they're not far off.

Re: Winter Olympics

Windsurfing is an Olympic sport and isnt pole-sitting just about who has the biggest bladder? The main point of pole-sitting is for newspapers to get away with ass-headlines. Like this young lady whose headline reads "After 96 hours of punishment, my arse is completely buggered." Who woul...

Two goals for Spurs as they beat Huddersfield 2-0 brings his season tally for Tottenham up to 17 in all competitions.

Re: Winter Olympics

Maybe Denmark needs to get into a 'fringe' sport in the future? I don't even know if wind-surfing is an Olympic event, but if it is, and Denmark are shit at it, then my idea isn't really going to work. They're already quite good at sailing, especially the small boats and cycling is a kind of windy ...
