Re: 2018 AFC Champions League
The HK Premier League isn't a fantastic competition. Kitchee and Eastern are usually miles ahead of the rest (although Eastern is struggling this season). HKFC is a yo-yo club that bounces between the Premier League and the First Division. They struggled in the Prem last season, picking up just two ...

Re: 2018 AFC Champions League
Nice to see a 'smaller' club like Kitchee make it to the group stage. Not sure that they'll pick up any points, but at least they'll have the opportunity. Oops, thanks for the reminder. They qualified directly to the group stage, which I had completely forgotten about (as I had been tracking the pr...

Again Jeonbuk played against a Japanese side and again not scored, lost 0-1. But the same problems. No international players and no Adriano and Tiago. Jeonbuk - V-Varen Nagasaki 0-1 To put this in perspective: V-Varen Nagasaki is a former non-league club, originating in the Kyūshū Soccer League.

Re: Classic no more, Challenge no more
Rather sensibly, the football powers still refer to the fourth and fifth divisions as the "K3". Otherwise, it just wouldn't be South Korean football.

Re: Help me (finally) write my Korean footie book!
Brief update: first draft of manuscript is complete; but at 160,000 words, it's far too large. Have to cut it down to between 80,000 to 100,000 words. At about 143,000 words now. Currently mulling over which additional topics I can take the axe to. Gutted to have cut such gems as Nazi theme bars. Pe...

Jamie Cureton has left level-six St. Albans City. He's returned to Farnborough , recently promoted to level seven, on a one-year deal. And... he's off again. Cureton has left Southern League Premier Division (level 7) club Farnborough to play for... Southern League Premier Division club Bishop's St...

Re: 2018 K3 League
From a quick search on Google, the year 940 was the first recorded time in history when the city was known as Chungju, I don't think they're quite claiming 1,077 years of football club history... I thought it was a AM radio station for a minute. Many of the station call names here in Canada even st...

Re: Bus Porn
Bus porn meets a catchphrase competition! That's like catnip to this online forum. My suggestions: South Korea: "Welp..." Saudi Arabia: "We'll make Egypt surrender like Lebanon." England: "No, our hooligans aren't hiding inside this bus. Kindly take your bricks elsewhere.&qu...
