Busan have splashed the cash for a Brazilian striker! Fidel Rocha.

Here's he's highlight reel stitched together by the staff of the Football College.

Both teams are not up to the challenge of the K-League. :( There was talk about Goyang going down to the N-League or the K3 bit I haven't heard about Choongju.

Bucheon are picking up their first European player, if I remember right. The Bosnian forward Haris Harba.

Remember that Alpensia is on the eastern edge of Pyeongchang, and is closer to Gangneung than to Pyeongchang town. Its a thirty to forty minute drive from Gangneung.

Re: Yonhap: 252 K League footballers eligible for free agency

This is similar to the KBO (has/had) which forces players to stay with the same team for less wages. At least for K-League players they might have the option of going off to a smaller league in Asia for decent money. KBO players don't have so many options.

I wouldn't count the New New York Cosmos. They are on their way to killing the NASL a second time. :D

That has to be an achievement in itself though? :D

Gangwon hosted Busan last night and won with a goal in the 89th minute. So its Gangwon away to Bucheon this Saturday at 2. Be there or definitely be square!

Re: K-League Challenge 2016

Bucheon is leading Goyang 4-1 closing in on stoppage time. After the last goal Lukian ran in and grabbed the ball like he thought Bucheon was behind. Maybe they're wanting to get as much of a goal difference in case of tie breakers?

edit: or there's a specific score that needs to happen.

Re: K-League Challenge 2016

The 2nd tier was always free prior to it becoming K2 and nobody went then either. Making something free makes it worthless it seems. As for the TV, the games are already available online at Naver. A proper TV channel might be a nice idea but unless other things change it might just highlight how mu...

Re: K-League Challenge 2016

I am trying to think, and its early for me, but what have been the significant improvements in the K-League in the past decade? Rules are still seemingly made and enforced on an ad hoc basis. The casual spectator is still not invested in the teams, or the league. Getting information and stats are ea...
