Re: More evidence that Korean football is ahead of the world

Including tickets sold in the official numbers is still a slippery slope. If ticket issuer Mygiantstadium Inc sells a full block of 6,000 tickets for a fiver to the absolutely-independent-I-swear-your-honour Shiftticketsofmygiantstadium.com then legally they've been sold. Surely the easiest thing, a...

Re: 2018 K3 League

Are they grooming paquebot as a potential sugardaddy investor or is it like with Charlie as a foot in the door of the lucrative ROKfootball market?

Re: Europe general 2018/2019

Got a Danish passport, eujin? I have, but in the end they didn't need to ask me. Apparently the futsal team and their mates are going to play instead. Slovakia sound really annoyed by the whole thing. It's probably not a good sign, but I can't help feeling there's a certain Roy of the Rovers romanc...

Europe general 2018/2019

Denmark are going around begging anyone who is Danish and has played some sort of football to turn out for them against Slovakia and Wales this week. The regular professionals are in a contract dispute with the Danish FA (the FA wants to change the conditions around sponsors and the player's federat...

Crowd scenes will be ugly either way I'm sure.

A trip to Cabbage Country surely. They speak English up there. Have you already pm'ed paquebot?

Re: 2018 K League 1

It's reasonably bad news for Sangju as the Koreans won the Asian games final beating Japan 3-2. There's been quite a lot of players missing out military service over the past few years and now another batch.

Good news for Spurs though. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45383556

Re: Incheon United

Part of the answer to your question can be found at the very useful (German) website transfermarkt.com https://www.transfermarkt.com/k-league-classic/startseite/wettbewerb/RSK1 According to their model, the only team in the K-League to invest less in their squad is Pohang, and they have a higher ave...

Re: 2018 K3 League

It's hard to judge from just highlights, but who is the Seoul United goalkeeper? Watching K3 always used to make me feel like I ought to play more. I'm probably too old now, but still.

Re: 2018 K League 1

Pohang put the hurt on league leaders winning 5-2 at the Steelyard. Jeonbuk have now lost three of their last four (including a cup match at Asan). Time for a mid-season wobble, although they're probably far enough ahead it won't matter.

Re: 2018 K League 1

Japanese striker Takahiro Kunimoto got the goal to beat Jeonbuk in Jeonju as Gyeongnam cut the gap at the top to only 11 points. It's almost exciting.

And Pohang put an end to Incheon's unbeaten run. The Norks can sleep easy.

At some point, even at your age, there's a level low enough that you should be playing (or coaching) rather than watching. :albino:

Re: 2018 Korean FA Cup

Wow, it'll be packed to the rafters at Asan for the visit of league leaders Jeonbuk, with people queuing overnight for tickets and the whole town buzzing.

Or maybe not.

Re: 2018 K League 1

It is surprising how few managers there are with no professional football experience. I wonder if it is because the skills needed are best learned through playing, if they don't get the same respect from footballers or they simply don't get the chance to have a coaching career and work up to managi...
