Re: Scottish football 2017/18

Must be tough for Celtic to try and compete with teams that have much, much more money than they do. Utterly bizarre from Brenda here . Rodgers insists the gap between the best and the rest in the Champions League will widen unless there is a crackdown. ... “Football is very much financial in every ...

Re: Football club files appeal to amend promotion playoff result in 2016

If Gangwon were a blue and white football club from Scotland then they'd have nothing to worry about as the national footballing governing body would see no merit in retrospectively amending match results when it's been proven players were improperly registered... Re: 2017 K3 League Basic (D5) season

Notice from the match stats of the Busan-Zebras game that the referee was a chap called Lee Chun-soo. Could be a freaky coincidence, but ROKfootball's favourite rat-faced shit weasel was in Busan yesterday throwing out pitches for Lotte Giants so why would he not try his hand at refereeing a 5th div...

Re: 2017 K-League Classic

Of course I was always going to do those digging through stats... McGinn has not completed a full 90 minutes for Gwangju yet, the longest he's played before getting taken off is 61 minutes. Three league starts, three league sub appearances and one FA Cup sub appearance. Nine more games left in the s...

Re: 2017 K-League Classic

Niall McGinn hooked after 45 minutes for Gwangju today.. they were 1-0 down at the time, his replacement scored twice including what could have been a point-saving equaliser in the third minute of second half stoppage time before Sangju then went and scored a winner in the fourth additional minute. ...

Re: After the K-League...

Cureton got a mention on some of the BBC 5 Live sports bulletins the other day as he scored for Farnborough recently and that has now meant that he has played for and scored in each of the top eight divisions of English football. They weren't 100% sure if he's the first person ever to have done that...

Scottish football 2017/18

Whilst most major European football leagues are hitting the headlines for ridiculously large transfer fees, Scottish football makes headlines for entirely different reasons... Aberdeen star Gary MacKay-Steven treated for hypothermia after being pulled from Glasgow river during night out 28 Aug 2017 ...

Re: The "Does he like kimchi?" thread

Niall McGinn is doing it all wrong ... “I’m getting used to the culture. When I first arrived the team used to eat together at the training centre, breakfast, lunch and dinner, but things have changed since the new coach came in and we don’t have to do that all the time,” explained McGinn, who lives...

Re: 2017 K3 League Basic (D5) season

Busan got a bit of a pasting recently by the Vietnamese U22 side as they went down 6-1 in a friendly match at the Mokpo Football Centre earlier this month. Must have been a pretty successful tour for the Vietnamese as they also beat National League side Mokpo City 4-1. Long gone are the days when K3...

Re: European groundhopping thread

Went to both Hillsborough and Bramall Lane last week, two relatively decent grounds with bags of character. The matchday experience at both just served to remind how fucked up things are in Scotland where we are still not trusted to partake of the odd alcoholic beverage or six deep in the bowels of ...

Re: K-League in the IFFHS

They were late getting these rankings out this year, usually done in January but it wasn't out until April. Clearly they've put much thought into making it as accurate as possible. The K-League is back up to 18th, only once has the league ever been better than it is right now... 2003: 39 (1st in Asi...

Re: 2017 K3 League Advanced (D4) season

What's the deal with promotion and relegation between Basic and Advanced? Bottom two teams in the Advance are dropping down at the end of the season, the top team in the Basic gets automatically promoted and then the winner of the playoffs (2nd-5th) will also go up. We're halfway through the Basic ...
