Re: Where them teams be on this here map?
I work in Yesan. The city apparently has lots of money to throw around. They have quite a nice little stadium. They have at least two big shiny team buses that drive around town. They have very nice sports facilities which even us general plebs can use if we want. They have what I'm told is a pretty...

Re: 2018 K3 League
I keep hearing rumors from locals that Yesan are looking at entering a team in K3 at some point; they were in the National League until about 2011 or so before folding and they have a nice little stadium and a big shiny bus so I guess that makes them as official as anyone else?

Re: Citizen clubs making profits
Seongnam are weird. All the IT companies in Pangyo, literally across the road from the stadium, and they can't find someone with a bit of cash to throw at the team? I'm surprised Naver or Kakao hasn't sponsored them already to be honest.

Re: 2017 Korean FA Cup Rounds 3 & 4
Has any city besides Seoul ever had more teams than that playing in the competition in the same season? Nexen Tire have their HQ in Yangsan which is on the Busan subway, so in the 2017 competition we have: Nexen Tire, Bugyeong University, Busan FC, Busan Transport and Busan I'Park. Busan is a footb...

Re: 2017 Korean FA Cup Rounds 3 & 4
Random questions/possible future trivia night answers - I noticed looking through Soccerway that 'Presbyterian Medical Center' who were obliterated 8-0 by Cheongju FC in the second round are apparently the football team of Jeonju's Jesus Hospital. This raises two questions : One, what is it with rel...

Re: 2017 K-League Classic
What's everyone's predictions for how the final table will look then? My guess (Pre round 1) 1. Jeju 2. Ulsan 3. Seoul 4. Gangwon 5. Pohang 6. Jeonbuk 7. Jeonnam 8. Sangju 9. Incheon 10. Suwon 11. Gwangju 12. Daegu Jeju have been steadily improving for a couple of seasons now and this is probably th...

So is K3 officially better than the CSL now then? Transfer window's still open, don't give up on Yangju to sign Messi just yet...

Re: 2017 K3 League Basic (D5) season
plenty of people up that way and there's no other clubs currently catering to fans in northeast Seoul Just in Seoul there's Jungnang Chorus Mustang in Jungnang-gu and Seoul United in Nowon-gu (unless they've permanently moved). Then in north/northeastern Gyeonggi you've got Uijeongbu, Yangju, and P...

Re: 2017 K3 League Basic (D5) season
I'm guessing now there's a proper pyramid system at least sort-of being put in place and getting a club promoted from level 4 or 5 up to the top couple of divisions without having to bribe your way in is now a vaguely realistic prospect (assuming the KFA don't change everything again), clubs down th...

Re: 2016-17 Winter Transfer Window
They'll be working in their local Gu or Dong office during the day but free to play amateur football at the weekends. OK, that's surely got to be a new challenge for this season then - Who can get some kind of official document signed and stamped by a bona fide K-league star? First person to post e...

Re: 2017 K3 League Advanced (D4) season
Those pictures are quite impressive for K3 - they appear to be taken on an official stage of some sort instead of in front of somebody's uncle's Samgyeopsal restaurant; and in the second one we have one guy about to break into the Gangnam Style dance while the other appears to be measuring the air i...

Re: 2016-17 Winter Transfer Window
Jeonbuk Hyundai winger Han Kyo-won (nr 7, scored in the ACL final) is set to move to K3 League club Hwaseong FC on a six-month loan due to his military duty. How does that work then? Hwaseong aren't a military club, are they?! I thought military service had to be with the cops or the soldiers? Or i...

Also, much as I hate to congratulate anyone with an Ipswich donkey for a profile picture - That's some impressive deductions there Gyeongmaman, the pieces seem to fit together... Still struggling to find that park though.

Re: The 'Guess The Stadium' Thread
Slight digression here but I just found this on another forum - for all that we complain about running tracks making for soulless grounds, this 1910's era photo from the UK suggest that isn't necessarily a foregone conclusion if you can actually fill the bloody stands up...
