Re: 2018 K3 League

Surprised that you didn't recognise the two Brazilians, I thought the fact that they were still wearing their Goyang training kit would have given it away.

Re: World Cup 2018

Half way through now in terms of games and I reckon my predictions need a bit of a re-write. 1) Argentina to go down 2-0 at half time against Nigeria, only for Diego Maradona to jump out of the crowd, headbut Sampioli and take over as manager. Argentina win 3-2 and go on to the knock out stages to b...

Re: World Cup 2026

Any truth in the rumour that Vancouver knocked it back because they'll be bidding for a 2030 World Cup held in Cascadia?

Re: World Cup 2018

It's a work of genius. Just wait until Sweden leave the Wookie unmarked in the box, mistakingly believing him to be 170cm tall Lee Seung-woo and therefore not much of an ariel threat.

Good predictions so far. Particularly liking the one about Ronaldo already having had his time in the sun. :0)

Re: World Cup 2026

I read an article on BBC yesterday that outlined the positives and negatives of both bids, but then concluded that they didn’t really matter as the USA led bid has promised to generate twice as much money for FIFA. And FIFA still loves money.

Re: 2018 K3 League

It had to be me that was Death didn't it? Actually I was in Hel last week. We tried to go for a swim, but it was too cold. I was also at a match that only lasted 77 minutes. That's surely a sign of the end of days. I hadn't thought this through, maybe famine would apply to someone who has spent yea...

Re: World Cup 2018

Can't work out whether I like Peter Schmeichel or not. On one hand, he was a great footballer and seems a nice guy. On the other hand it seems like he can do anything and he looks younger than me despite being born a decade earlier. Just a few days to go. Predictions- Spain to win it, England to go ...

Re: 2018 K3 League

Uijeongbu got done 13-0 at Yeoju! It's Martyrsville up there. Goyang and the Zebs both went down 5-1 at home. Yangju got Pajued 3-2 at home. Goyang Yangju next week, I think. I'll try and make my once every one or two year meeting with Paquebot. Feel free to come along for the once in a blue moon R...

The stuff Charlie got up to while he was here was amazing, but for me I couldn't think of anything worse!

Re: World Cup 2018

Sergio Ramos was practicing a bit of flopping at the weekend but I reckon that is as close as Spain will get to being a flop at this tournament. Spain to beat Germany in the final and Argentina to be knocked out in the last 16.

Re: 2018 K3 League

Do they have TV cameras at all the K3 games? Or are they doing a secret documentary on me and they are following me around the country, filming me picking my nose at different stadiums? Me (and my cameraman) were at Pyeongtaek today to see them take down the legal eagles of Jungang. 1-0 and not only...

Re: 2018 K3 League

Goyang won the clash of the giants 3-1, to move all the way up to 3rd bottom. After watching Goyang and Uijeongbu in recent weeks, I completed the trinity of hopelessness by braving the relentless rain on Saturday to see Seoul United. They went 1-0 up away at Yeoju, only to lose 3-1. They were well ...

Re: Favourite World Cup moments of all time

I'm genetically obliged to pick the Archie Gemmill goal, although I think you are getting a bit confused, Scotland actually won the World Cup eleven years earlier at Wembley. The World Cup has had some of the best goals of all time scored at it and three that stand out for me are - 1978 - Archie Gem...

Re: World Cup 2018

"A good world cup for Germany is winning it, a bad world cup is only making the final", "Never write off the Germans". Plenty of cliches about the German national team. It's a pretty amazing record that they have. They are definitely a bigger threat than Italy this time. :0) Grou...
