Re: 2016 Korean FA Cup Final

I made a complete mess of everything and thought the game was tomorrow. Managed to make it home in time for the shootout. Enjoyed Seoul's keeper playing mind-games, fluffing the easy save chance he had, and then putting his penalty into orbit. Lovely stuff.

Re: Suwon Bluewings 2016

I was waiting for the highlights to find out what the hell the second booking was for. They also confirmed that the first booking was very harsh. A throw-in from the wrong place is not a yellow card offence. At a push, time wasting, but 25 minutes into the game, at home, half way inside their own ha...

He's definitely wearing a Norn Iron training top there, which is very bizarre. He played for Shamrock Rovers in the south for a bit a few years ago

Re: 2015 K-League Classic Round 25

Pleasantly surprised that we didn't mess up another chance to make ground back. Some well taken goals too.

Let it never be forgotten though - we lost to Daejeon. At home. 2-0. 3 free points that had to be made up somewhere

Re: 2015 summer transfer thread

On paper the Bulgarian looks like a decent signing. he's getting playing time for Bulgaria, scoring against Italy, etc. Not too prolific in the German 2nd division though.

Re: K-League player salaries

Some figures on league salaries doing the rounds, this information for 2014 was made available by the KFA.. interesting to compare with the figures in the initial post to see how things have changed. 3위 김두현(수원삼성) 8억 3,200만원 Unfortunate to be injured, but not that influential when he did play. You c...

A football manager legend. Scored a tonne for Suwon until I signed a regenerated David Villa

Re: 2015 summer transfer thread

Edu going really is a surprise.. not just to a top flight Chinese team either but to Hebei who play in the second division. They must have a fair bit of money behind them (as do most Chinese teams these days it seems) as they've appointed former Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Serbia na...

Re: 2015 summer transfer thread

Jong has now left Suwon and signed for Shimizu. Rumour has it that Urawa Reds' former Southampton and Kashiwa Reysol striker Tadanari Lee will be his replacement. One more game against Busan i think, then off. A shame, as he finally seemed to have started scoring and stayed a little bit fit. Underw...

Re: 2015 K-League Classic Round 19 & 20

I want to like the K League, i really do. But you will not see a worse dive than the one Santos just got away with. Nice freekick though. I didnt see a proper camera angle of it. He's not on screen from the side, and from behind there's literally no-one within 3 yards when the ball arrives. Was he ...

Re: 2015 K-League Classic Round 18

I was working so I didnt get to the "super" match. Although I wasnt fully committed so I watched some of it on my phone. Seoul had most of the ball in the first half without creating much, And Suwon had the same in the second. There was an outrageous elbow from a seoul player in the first ...

Re: Kleague Classic Round 15

Yes I would, completely agree. Suwon seem to lose their share of home games, but I wonder if that is because they are a bit more aggressive than Seoul, the fans down there are more demanding I think and they have better attacking players so play to their strengths a bit more. A lot of the goals Suw...

Re: Kleague Classic Round 15

They're gonna have to change a lot at halftime if they're want to take advantage. It's been a poor game, but gwangju have been comfortably the better team.
