Re: Winter Olympics

I have barely seen any of these Olympics... wasn't really covered in Bangkok when I was on holiday and haven't really got into it other than watching a couple of the curling matches. I was a bit surprised to see empty seats in the arenas but never can tell with these things if they are unsold ticket...

SteveW's Asean Adventure

So no turning back now. Mrs is gone, job is gone, house is going up for sale, stuff is being disposed of and I am off to SEA on a football tour to end all football tours (or end me, either way) Now I am in serious planning stages and already coming up against the fact that its really hard to work ou...

I will be the first to congratulate Jeonbuk on their Championship win then. Only action will be in the second division.

Re: The "48"

Plans slowly underway for the next adventure. A week in Bangkok has persuaded me that doing the Thai leagues would be an awesome adventure. Others on the list are Vietnam Philippines or China. Of course the lure of coming back to Korea is also there. Maybe if they put the Martyrs back together or if...

Re: Classic no more, Challenge no more

Rothesays coming back, I’m single again and the kleague is back to 1 and 2.

Feels like we are getting the band back together. Just need to get Holyjoe to abandon his kids and it really will be #again2005

I guess it means fire engines. Fire trucks in Yankee speak.

Or whatever the equivalent vehicle is for hauling pished footballers out of rivers.

Re: European groundhopping thread

My grpundhopping plans for a week off in Scotland were curtailed by a dodgy tenant giving me endless work to do on my house and my dad being admitted to hospital. Airdrie Cowdenbeath and Alloa plans scrapped and the only ground I got to was the one I'd been to before. Mind you thinking back this mig...

Re: Europe general 2017/18

It's pretty much accepted that money is what determines success in football so any situation where one or two teams have access to wealth that others don't is going to create an imbalance. Celtics perpetual champions league place is simply powering them further away from everyone else and allows the...

Re: Seoul satellite city trying to land pro football club at new stadium

I suppose fading into obscurity in another white elephant would be a fitting demise for this team, but will the KFA ever wake up and put an end to club relocation? The Jeju franchise have been doing quite well recently. I don't know why the KFA would want to ban club relocation. Suwon Bluewings wer...

Holyjoe wrote:It won't be Yongin E-Land, it'll be Yongin SK instead. Reports are that Jeju United have been approached to relocate to this new stadium and seem up for it (why would they not be?).

Fuck it, Jeju OB Hyori Rovers it is then.

Re: When will Stielike get sacked?

Appointing Jung would seem like a huge gamble. He hasn't even managed at ACL level let alone international has he? It might not be pretty but don't you just go for maybe Choi kang hee for the last two qualifiers. You need to best most experienced domestic man for the job now I think. Far from a perf...

Re: When will Stielike get sacked?

Should have got rid of him when I told them to. I'm open to offers if the kfa want to put me in charge of hiring and firing

Re: K-League Challenge 2017

Ferrets need to change their manager ASAP if they want to salvage anything form this season. Lovinho was brought back into the team today and no surprise we failed to score and we lose.

Re: K-League Challenge 2017

We can't defend or score. And we are still pickin Lovinho who has a worse scoring rate than Ryan Johnson. We might actually find a way to get relegated at this rate.
