Only half a season, eh?

BBC claims he "failed to settle in the country," although no source provided for that claim.

Re: 2017 K-League Classic

So it's Sangju Sangmu sucked down into the promotion-relegation playoffs against Busan. POSCO-bankrolled Jeonnam avoid finishing second-bottom thanks only to goals scored. Sangju will either become the first South Korean club relegated three times (in just six seasons), or the first K-League Classic...

Re: 2018 World Cup qualification

As MipoFanatic had pointed out on social media, all these English-speaking nations are refusing to qualify for the World Cup to avoid drawing Korea and thus scuppering the launch of his long-awaited book... Cheek. Looks like I'll be too late for the 2018 World Cup - the first draft will be complete...

That Incheon vs. Sangju fixture is rather tasty.

Re: 2017 Korean FA Cup Rounds 3 & 4

Thought I'd continue this thread rather than make a new one. Busan I'Park through to the FA Cup final after knocking out four Classic opponents, including FC Seoul and Suwon Bluewings (both from penalties). Bit of a Gyeongnam derby as they face Ulsan - although last I checked their supporters were i...

Re: The "Does he like kimchi?" thread

Ack, legendary Mipo manager Choi Soon-ho was allegedly behind the Pohang nonsense? Certainly tarnishes his reputation in my books, if true. Seems especially petty behaviour for a mega-bucks club like Jeonbuk. Just buy the poor guy out of his contract. Is it worth the reputational risk to the club of...

Re: After the K-League...

Apparently Cureton is seeking coaching badges and will join Arsenal to coach at their academy for two days a week while he continues playing for Farnborough in the Southern League.

Sounds like the end is near for the 42-year-old. Hopefully I can get my book out before the old git retires!

Second leg finished 0-0, so the Norks lose 3-0 aggregate.
