If this forum does officially die, please don't burn the ashes and put them in a little urn.

Re: After the K-League...

Apologies in advance if I found this article elsewhere on this board...

...but here's an article from May (in Korean) about foreign players who signed for K-League clubs and didn't end up playing a single match.

Hah, didn't he win the FA Cup with Busan in 2004? Salt in the wound.

Re: 2017 Korean FA Cup Rounds 3 & 4

Second leg ends 0-0, so Ulsan win the cup. Surprisingly this is their first time to do so.

Re: 2018 World Cup qualification

South Korea drawn into Group F with Germany, Mexico and Sweden.

Argh, I was hoping they'd go into Group G with England. Toward the end of the draw, with only three balls remaining, there was a one-in-three chance. Oh well.

Re: 2017 Korean FA Cup Rounds 3 & 4

And similar to their promotion-relegation playoff first-leg loss at home, Busan are determined to make things as difficult as possible by losing the first leg of the Korean FA Cup final 2-1 at home against Ulsan. If Busan do manage to turn things around and lift the trophy, they would go on to be th...

Re: 2017 K3 League Advanced (D4) season

Good point: no financial incentive to go up. Korean club football needs a complete rebuild.

So that's Busan as the first Challenge club to fail to win the pro/rel playoff. Well done.

Re: 2017 K-League Classic

Pohang Steelers have confirmed a signing of ex-Sweden international defender Marcus Nilsson from Stabæk. Looks like the first Swede to play in the K-League didn't have much luck. Signed for Pohang, but previous back injuries flared up that prevented him from playing. His contract was terminated mid...

Re: 2017 K-League Classic

The last two playoffs have gone the way of the lower league team. I can't see this one changing that trend. Busan have the current form. Sangju would've been directly relegated except for a handful of wins they picked up way back in March and April. Busan have the Cup Final hanging over them agains...

If you'd been at the Cloak and Dagger on College Street last week when Denmark qualified for the World Cup I would've bought you a drink. Hah! Three mont...
