Re: The "Does he like kimchi?" thread

Ack, legendary Mipo manager Choi Soon-ho was allegedly behind the Pohang nonsense? Certainly tarnishes his reputation in my books, if true. Seems especially petty behaviour for a mega-bucks club like Jeonbuk. Just buy the poor guy out of his contract. Is it worth the reputational risk to the club of...

Re: After the K-League...

Apparently Cureton is seeking coaching badges and will join Arsenal to coach at their academy for two days a week while he continues playing for Farnborough in the Southern League.

Sounds like the end is near for the 42-year-old. Hopefully I can get my book out before the old git retires!

Re: AFC Cup (Club)

Second leg finished 0-0, so the Norks lose 3-0 aggregate.

Time for some hard labour, then?

Re: Europe general 2017/18

Welcome back, you've been missed. Do you think that Taiwan is ripe for football taking off, like in the mainland, or is it beyond help? Well that didn't really work. The idea was to get him to stick around. Maybe the "you've been missed" wasn't such a great idea. :smt010 Should have liste...

Seongnam ran away with the league in 2003, for the third consecutive season, and their ground was virtually empty.

Re: Seoul satellite city trying to land pro football club at new stadium

It won't be Yongin E-Land, it'll be Yongin SK instead. Reports are that Jeju United have been approached to relocate to this new stadium and seem up for it (why would they not be?). Old Bucheon's relocation to Seogwipo was bizarre from the get-go. Yes, it was to a fancy new World Cup stadium, and I...

Re: When will Stielike get sacked?

Tricky. Just two matches left, and they're both crucial. But the home match against Iran is just 2.5 months away. If they were going to sack him and rebuild, they should have done it much earlier in the cycle.

I reckon he stays for the remainder of qualifying.

Re: After the K-League...

When he's not playing in the eighth-tier of English football, he's winning World Cups for England. Former Busan I'cons striker Jamie Cureton laced up for the Veterans World Cup in Thailand, which they successfully retained. Cureton scored in all four of England's matches: their opening 7-0 win over ...

Re: Korean Football Trivia Thread

If the literary world thought that Harper Lee was going some by taking 55 years to publish Go Set A Watchman then they're in for a bit of a shock when Mipo's book finally hits the shelves. Of course by the time it hits the shelves then we'll all be consuming literature in book-in-a-pill fashion sim...

Re: AFC Cup (Club)

April 25 won their three-club group in the AFC Cup. The group consisted of North Korean clubs April 25 and Kigwancha taking turns kicking lumps out of Mongolian side Erchim. The North Koreans finished level against each other on both occasions, so ultimately a comparative goal difference of +1 for A...
